WWE star Roman Reigns calls out The Rock again for dream match at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood
Roman Reigns has called out The Rock AGAIN for a WrestleMania dream match.
The Tribal Chief is desperate to face his real-life cousin when WWE bring WrestleMania 39 to Hollywood in 2023.
The Rock is a 10-time world champion in WWE, but has not wrestled since beating Erick Rowan in an impromptu match at WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
Reigns, who has held the Universal Championship for 214 days, believes him and The Rock could create one of ‘the largest, most monumental moments in sports entertainment’ history.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, he said: “Imagine me with another two years of this dominance, going against the Great One.
“I mean, like in Hollywood, which is god-willing, you know the next step. If he’s down, it’d be cool.”
Reigns added: “I want to create the largest, most monumental moments that sports entertainment can hold.
“So if that involves him in the picture, then absolutely. And it all comes back and I think he would agree to this, it all comes back to the audience.
“What do our fans want to see? What’s going to entertain? What’s going to create that escapism where they feel like this is real? Those are the moments I want to create.”
Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Edge and Daniel Bryan in a high-profile match at WrestleMania 37 in two weeks’ time, which will see fans attend a WWE event for the first time in over a year.
WWE are planning to have in excess of 25,000 fans watching on at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
