UK start time, how to watch and undercard as boxing icon takes on YouTuber
Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul has been confirmed for this summer with a date and venue now set for the bizarre exhibition bout.
Retired 50-0 boxing legend Mayweather is set to meet 0-1 YouTuber Paul, who lost his pro debut to fellow internet sensation KSI in 2019, in a one-off clash.
Logan’s little brother Jake Paul fought and beat former UFC star Ben Askren in their own exhibition and Logan was there to film the moment and send it to Mayweather in an apparent warning.
But plans for Mayweather vs Logan were on hold for some time with ‘Money’ even reaching out to his followers on social media to ask which city they should face off in.
Now, the fight has been officially announced and fans can now start gearing up for another unique night of action.
Mayweather v Paul: Date and start time
Mayweather and Paul were originally set to face off on Saturday, February 20 but that date was postponed.
It was claimed that the fight could be cancelled entirely due to ‘lack of interest’, although Mayweather and Paul have insisted that was never the case.
In late February, Paul sent a public message to Mayweather, insisting he is still training and waiting on a new date.
And now, that has been set with the two ready to meet on Sunday, June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
It will likely start in the early hours of Monday morning for UK fans but full details will follow.
Announcing the fight on Instagram, Mayweather wrote: “Me and Logan Paul will be fighting at the Hard Rock Stadium.
“@mayweatherpromotions @fanmio and @showtimeboxing have come together to bring an epic Event!!! Tickets will be going on sale next week.”
Logan recently said: “People are asking me if I’m like scared. No, no I’m not scared. The feelings I’m getting right now are just excitement.
“I’m excited, I’m blessed to have this opportunity and I think we’re gonna wow a lot of people.
“I just don’t believe I’m gonna get in there and people are gonna see what they expect to see.”
Meanwhile, Mayweather has claimed that he will make upwards of $100million for the planned fight.
He said: “I can fight a fighter right now and I can guarantee myself $35million. I can eventually probably make $50million, for just a regular fight.
“Or me and Logan Paul can go out, entertain, have fun and make nine figures, $100million or more.”

Mayweather v Paul: What has been said?
Conor McGregor, who has been called out by Logan’s little brother Jake recently, has had his say on the exhibition bout.
He said: “Fair pay to them, fair play to the Logan guy getting in with Floyd.
“I’m excited to see how that goes. Floyd looks a bit fat to me, man.
“It’s a mad little scene at the minute, but I’m not against it. Any man that’s willing to make that walk, all the best.”
Meanwhile, one of the Mayweather’s former opponents, Victor Ortiz, reckons Paul will be a tougher opponent for than McGregor was.
“Conor couldn’t do nothing,” Ortiz said. “I don’t mean to speak bad. Conor’s a heck of a UFC fighter in the octagon, but he has no business in a ring, as opposed to someone like Logan – Logan learned in a ring.
“So his stuff is all standup. Everything about Logan is boxing, angles, moving, so it’s two different worlds.
“I couldn’t tell you what someone like Logan or myself could do in an octagon, but stick to what you know. And Logan, he knows boxing right now.
“I’ve talked to him about Floyd a few times. I give him the simple things: ‘Floyd is Floyd, but you’re unstoppable. You’re on another level.’
“I strongly believe Floyd will have trouble. Logan can box, and he has power, reach speed, and he can move now.”
