UFC fighters Tim Elliott and Jamahal Hill facing suspensions for alleged failed drug tests
Two UFC fighters are facing suspensions after allegedly testing positive for marijuana.
ESPN report that flyweight Tim Elliott and undefeated light heavyweight Jamahal Hill both failed in competition tests in relation to their respective fights in Las Vegas on May 30.
Both are temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission ahead of a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday.
ESPN also say that Luis Pena and Marc-Andre Barriault are under temporary suspension but the cause is currently unknown and is likely to be made public at the same hearing.
Elliott, 33, was beaten by Brandon Royval on May 30 on the UFC‘s preliminary card for Gilbert Burns’ win over Tyron Woodley.
He lost in the second round to an arm-triangle choke but the bout was named Fight of the Night, with both getting a $50,000 bonus.
The 16-11-1 fighter has been back in the Octagon since then, though, and won against Ryan Benoit at Fight Island on July 16.
Hill is an up and coming talent in the light heavyweight division and moved to 7-0 with a first round TKO against Klidson Abreu.
