The Boys Season 2 Review: What’s It About?

The second season picks up from where it left in the last episode of season 1. However, the makers don’t answer everything easily in the first episode itself. Homelander (Anthony Starr) grows ruthless. Stormfront (Aya Cash) joins the Seven. We already saw in the trailer how she manages to get all the attention.

In the last episode of season 1, we saw Billy Butcher’s (Karl Urban) wife Becca (Shantel VanSanten) is still alive. So how will he convey the message to his boys? How will they manage to bring these superheroes down with these new villains and challenges? That’s what you have to find out in season 2!

The Boys Season 2 Review: What’s Good?

The twists, the writing and the madness! If you think season 1 was enough to drive you crazy, the second one is a treat for y’all. Season 1 was just a teaser of these horrible and self-centred superheroes. But season 2 will make you despise them more. After such great teasers coming from DC FanDome event and the wait to watch Marvel Phase 4 movies, watching The Boys Season 2 will change your perspective towards these ‘saviours’.

The Boys 2: Aya Cash AKA Stormfront Gets Candid About Clash With Anthony Star's Homelander & We Can't Keep Calm!
The Boys Season 2 Review: Showdown Against The Supes Gets Pretty Serious & Ugly This Time!

This season is more gory, hard-hitting and realistic than before. It not only addresses the problematic part of superheroes but also focuses on racism, superiority, sexism, war and more. This showdown against the Supes gets pretty serious and ugly this time.

Yet again, great performances by Karl Urban as Butcher and Anthony Starr as Homelander. While one makes you support the fight, the latter terrifies you. Aya Cash as Stormfront is not another likeable superhero, yet you are invested in her. A wonderful act put forward by the actress. The rest of the cast also gave their best and made the latest season worth every minute.

The Boys Season 2 Review: What’s Bad?

One has to be patient until episode 3 to watch the entire drama and shocking twists to start. The first 3 episodes were used as a build-up to take you into the mad show that’s going to start from episode 4th. It would’ve been better if it was kept until episode 2. After all, not everyone has the same patience level to see what these supes and boys are up to.

The Boys Season 2 Review: Final Word

The Boys are back to fight the Supes! With clever writing, astonishing twists and darker humour, the second season will entertain and impress you. You get the startling and great season 2 you deserve. The show ends with a cliffhanger, so you know there’s more coming to f*ck with your head!
