Rishi Sunak: Chancellor accused of failing to address furlough and SEISS excluded | Personal Finance | Finance
The Chancellor has come under increased pressure to provide support, going forward and potentially retrospectively, to those excluded from government support measures.
Recently, an all-party group of MPs wrote a letter to the Chancellor calling for him to fix gaps in the extended support schemes.
Mel Stride, the chair of the committee wrote: “The committee deeply regrets that the concerns in the first report of our inquiry into the economic impact of coronavirus, Gaps in Support, have not been addressed.
“There are still many who are excluded from both these schemes through no fault of their own.”
