Rachel Bilson recently made a shocking revelation about Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast. She said that she and Rami were in the same Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. She had posted a throwback photo of them. But the Bohemian Rhapsody star wasn’t too happy about it. “I had posted a throwback of us from our senior trip to New York/Broadway, we’re super like nerdy … it’s the dorkiest picture of both of us, but I (posted it) because it’s funny and I think it’s so important to be able to make fun of yourself,” Rachel recalled the incident, as reported by USA Today.

A week after Rachel uploaded the picture, Rami DMed her asking her to take it down from her Instagram account. Rachel was taken aback after reading Rami’s message and didn’t even exchange pleasantries. “It wasn’t like, ‘Hey, how are you?’ It was straight to, ‘I would appreciate it if you take that down, I’m a very private person. I get really hot, I start sweating and I’m like all nervous,” Rachel said.

Rachel clarified that she had uploaded the said throwback picture ahead of the 2019 Oscars to celebrate the success of Bohemian Rhapsody which helped Rami bag the Best Actor at the ceremony. She deleted the picture upon Rami’s request and even apologised to him by penning a nice message. But Rami never responded to her.

“I was super bummed because he always so nice and we were good friends. I’m a big fan of not taking yourself seriously, especially at that level of fame and talent, but look, he wants to be super respected – it’s his thing, so I respected it, I took it down. I was just a little bummed at how it was handled,” she concluded.
