Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insists he is ready to return to management amid Manchester United links
Mauricio Pochettino insists he is ready to return to management.
The former Tottenham boss has been out of work for almost a year since being sacked by Spurs.
But the Argentine coach continues to be linked with the Manchester United job as pressure grows on current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose side are 15th in the table after six games.
Asked if he is ready to return to management, Pochettino told Sky Sports: “I’m always ready to be involved in the game again.
“I love football, it’s my passion, it’s not my job.
“It’s not stressful when you are working, it’s not stressful to go into the training ground, it’s not stressful to prepare the game, it’s not stressful to compete.”
Pochettino was sporting a new look with long hair in the Sky studio.
The 48-year-old insists he will get a haircut once he is back managing a club.
He added: “Look at my [hair], it’s getting longer and longer! I hope to cut it as soon as we start again to work.
“But I’m looking forward to be involved in the game again. I love the game.
“It’s difficult, we are inside, we are working, we are doing things, but it’s not the same to be involved every single day and to share [experiences] with your players, your staff, the clubs.
“You always miss that. That’s the reality.”
