EastEnders star Maisie Smith shows off her toned body in gym selfie as she prepares for Strictly
EASTENDERS star Maisie Smith proved she’s in peak condition to hit the Strictly dancefloor later this month.
The 19-year-old actress revealed she’s been hitting the gym hard ahead of her appearance.
Maisie took to her Instagram Story to scare off her competition and show them how seriously she’s taking it all with a gorgeous mirror selfie that displayed her toned figure.
The Tiffany Butcher actress opted for a light grey sports bra and some matching grey sports leggings to show off her hard rock abs and ridiculously toned thighs.
She completed the look with some white and pink trainers, hot pink over the head headphones and kept her fiery red hair loose.
The star clearly wants to get her hands on the the glitterball trophy and is taking preparation for Strictly seriously with regular gym sessions.
Maisie shared another gym snap earlier this week, the star posed in a pink sports bra and a pair of tiny green shorts in her bedroom telling fans: “Twas a quad day.”
Maisie later zoomed out to show her thighs, saying: “Sorry for the leg spam atm.”
The super-fit star, who often shares her gym workouts, showed off her incredible abs for the series of snaps on Instagram.
It looked like she’s already fully in the Strictly spirit, with the bronzed star posing in front of a sparkly pink hat and various other accessories.
Maisie is definitely the show’s dark horse this year with her dancing experience.
She has already won Strictly thanks to a cha-cha with Kevin Clifton on the Children In Need special last year and admitted she’s had training in hip hop and street.
However, the whole show could be hanging in the balance as The Sun revealed that it may never make it to air if Britain goes into full lockdown again.
A source explained: “The BBC are fully prepared to axe this series of Strictly if a full lockdown happens.
“They couldn’t even delay the show until early next year because of a number of issues, including them being unable to use their usual studios. While everyone is hopeful it won’t happen, preparations have been made if it does.
“Everyone working on the show has done their utmost to keep it on air and if a local lockdown happens in London, where the studios are, Strictly bosses will ask for special dispensation to see if they can continue.”
Maisie is part of a reduced Strictly Come Dancing line-up for 2020 which also includes former labour politician Jacqui Smith, MIC star Jamie Laing, YouTube star HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey and former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers.
