Chelsea troll Gallagher brothers on Twitter with Oasis lyrics after both Noel and Liam attend Man City’s Champions League final defeat to Blues
Chelsea have celebrated their Champions League triumph with a few sly social media posts seemingly directed towards Oasis and the Gallagher brothers on Sunday morning.
The Blues conquered Manchester City, beating them 1-0 in Porto thanks to Kai Havertz’s decisive first-half strike.
Famous City fans Noel and Liam Gallagher, of legendary rock band Oasis, both attended the match at the Estadio Do Dragao.
They left disappointed after Pep Guardiola’s side missed out on the chance to claim their first Champions League trophy.
And Chelsea have added insult to injury by captioning a few of their celebratory Twitter posts with Oasis lyrics.
The official Chelsea account has put up images of the players celebrating with captions such as ‘You and I are gonna live forever’ from the Oasis hit Live Forever.
One of the lyrics was even twisted from ‘We see things they’ll never see’ to ‘We see things you’ll never see’.
And a third post said ‘Because we need each other, we believe in one another’ from Oasis song Acquiesce.
A final image of Kante holding the trophy was captioned in a way which mocked Liam’s tweet style ‘Champions of Europe. As you were. NG x’.
