Andy Ruiz Jr makes prediction for Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury, backs ‘Gypsy King’ to beat former opponent
Andy Ruiz Jr believes Tyson Fury will beat his old foe Anthony Joshua if they meet as planned this summer.
The British heavyweight rivals are deep in negotiations to finalise an undisputed heavyweight title fight with all four major belts on the line.

Ruiz Jr conquered AJ for the WBA, IBF and WBO titles by seventh-round knockout in their first fight in 2019, but was comprehensively outboxed in the rematch six months later.
Fury then dethroned Deontay Wilder to take the WBC title.
Since then, Joshua defended by knocking out Kubrat Pulev at the end of 2020, but this performance did not impress Ruiz Jr.
When asked about the prospect of AJ now fighting Fury, Ruiz Jr told Little Giant Boxing: “I think that it’s gonna be an interesting fight.

“I fought Anthony Joshua, I haven’t fought Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury has a real style, he’s tall, he fights tall.
“I kinda see Tyson Fury winning that fight. I wasn’t too impressed with Anthony Joshua’s last performance, but he got the job done.
“I think maybe Tyson Fury might get him, depends how awkward he is.
“If he boxes – Anthony hasn’t fought anybody that boxes around and moves around, so we’ll see.”

Earlier on Tuesday, AJ tweeted an update on the fight: “Another positive meeting with 258 Management.
“They’ve informed me things are shaping up nicely.
“They will be sharing the update with Eddie [Hearn] and you’ll be hearing from me soon.”
He later added: “I’ll be undisputed.”
